Fat freeze, Emsculpt, Lipo Light, RF. The names get pitched as if they do the same job. They do not. Each targets a different layer: stubborn fat, untoned muscle, or loose skin. This guide puts the four technologies on our menu side by side, with what each can realistically change and what each costs to try at our Tanjong Pagar studio.
Body contouring is reshaping, not weight loss. Your contour is about where fat sits, how toned the muscle underneath is, and how firm the skin over it is. A machine that clears fat pockets will not tighten loose skin, and one that builds muscle will not shrink a belly roll.
So before choosing a treatment, name the thing that bothers you. Pinchable fat that survives dieting is a fat problem. A flat but soft stomach is a muscle problem. Crepey looseness after weight change is a skin problem.
Here is the whole body menu in one view. All four are non-invasive, with no needles, no surgery and no downtime.

Fat freeze, or cryolipolysis, cools a pinchable fold of fat until the fat cells crystallise and die while the skin above stays unharmed; fat cells are simply more sensitive to cold than the tissue around them. The body clears the dead cells over 2 to 3 months, with up to 25% fat reduction in the treated area. Cleared cells do not grow back, so the change lasts, though the remaining cells can still expand if your weight climbs.
The Signature single-applicator Fat Freeze is $48 for a first trial; the Premium 360° Fat Freeze, which wraps the whole zone for more uniform coverage, is $58. For the full picture, read our complete fat freeze guide.
Emsculpt works on the layer no fat treatment touches: the muscle. High-intensity focused electromagnetic energy triggers contractions far stronger than anything you can produce voluntarily; the manufacturer's well-known comparison is around 20,000 sit-ups' worth in a 30 minute session. The muscle responds as it does to hard training, getting stronger and firmer, and the workload draws on nearby energy stores too. It is the pick when the goal is a firmer core or lifted glutes rather than a smaller waistband. We cover it in detail in our Emsculpt guide. First trial: $48.
Lipo Light uses low-level light therapy to open the membranes of fat cells so the stored contents drain out and are processed through the lymphatic system. Cells are emptied rather than destroyed, so results can show sooner, sometimes within weeks, but they depend on you holding your habits steady afterwards. The session is completely painless and takes about 40 minutes, and at $48 for a first trial it is the easiest way to test how your body responds. We compared it head to head with cryolipolysis in Fat Freeze vs Lipo Light.
Radio-frequency does nothing to fat and everything to skin. Deep-tissue heat stimulates fresh collagen, so skin gradually thickens and tightens over a course of sessions. It is the right call after significant weight loss, for post-pregnancy laxity, or for the dimpled look of cellulite, and it pairs well as a finishing step after fat reduction so the smaller contour reads smooth rather than deflated. Sessions run about 45 minutes per area, with a $58 first trial.
Fat Freeze. Treat once, reassess after 2 to 3 months as the cells clear. Go 360° for larger zones.
Emsculpt HIFEM. Definition is a muscle job, not a fat job. Plan a short course and keep training.
Lipo Light. A painless $48 entry point with quick early feedback, as long as you maintain the result.
RF Body. Collagen takes weeks to rebuild, so expect gradual firming across a course.
None of these treatments is weight loss, and any studio that suggests otherwise is overselling. They work best when you are already within reach of a comfortable weight and want to refine specific areas. Timelines differ by mechanism: fat freeze builds over 2 to 3 months, Lipo Light can show within weeks but needs maintenance, Emsculpt firmness develops in the weeks after a course, and RF tightening accumulates as collagen renews.
Session counts vary too: a single fat freeze session per area is often enough to judge, while light, muscle and skin treatments usually run as short courses. Results differ from person to person, which is why every plan here starts with an assessment, not a package pitch.
Tell us what bothers you and we will map it to fat, muscle or skin, then recommend the smallest plan that gets you there. First trials from $48 at our Tanjong Pagar studio.
